Remarks :On that day while leaving the park, we heard the typical thudding sound of Woodpecker. So we start looking in to nearby trees for the Woodpecker. We saw four Yellow-crowned Woodpecker foraging in the dry stick like fruits of the Cassia fistula tree. They are foraging for larva of insects in these fruits. First they peel and make hole in dry stick fruit with strong beak, than use its long tongue to take out and eat that larva. While doing foraging for the larva they also eat Black Ants . The tree was situated on main road of the park and lot people were passing by but its look like they did not care about it.
