Remarks :
Taxonomic Notes :Monotypic species endemic to China. Note that this species was previously regarded as a warbler in the family Cisticolidae but has been moved to the babblers Timaliidae.

The form albosuperciliaris which was previously regarded as a subspecies is now treated as a full species with the name Tarim Babbler Rhopophilus albosuperciliaris.
