English synonyms:Isabelline Chat
Bird Family :Saxicolini - Robins, Nightingales, Chats, Shamas, Redstarts, Grandala, Forktails, Cochoas & Wheatears
Red Data Status :Least Concern
Remarks :Spotted this about 15 km from Roing town on our way toward Tiwarigaon - where we spotted a lone bird sitting on a stump of bamboo by the hilly tract (the latitude-longitude, more importantly the altitude was not recorded as the GPS tracking of my cam was turned off to save power). In the OBI most of the records from our country hails from the states of Gujrat & Rajasthan during the autumn-winter. A few from Diu and one from Tirunelvelli & Thoothukudi districts of TN (as reported in Indian Birds journal IB8-3) in 2011, a few from Andhra Pradesh & as far south as Kerala. In the e-bird range maps I see occurrences as farthest east as Nepal (one near North trek from Betrawoti & other from Chitwan NP). - AB

"One previous record for Arunachal: one at 465 m in wet paddyfields near Yingkiong, Upper Siang District, on 25 March 1998 [Pratap Singh, 1999, Bird survey in selected localities of Arunachal Pradesh, India (March 1997 to July 1998). Unpublished report to Wildlife Institute of India]." - as said by Tim Inskipp
